5 new technologies for the ill or disabled - from #VisisionNL week 3 2015

This will be the first blog in a row that I will provide every week in the weekend, most likely every Sunday evening. The blog will be about what was in the news last week. #VisionNL provides the best news from the news on the best websites on the internet. After years of following news about new technologies and already posting this to twitter, paperli, scoop and more websites I would like to add a blog to it to make some statements and adding extra content and knowledge to the news.

Last week a lot of news was about new ways to help people with a disability or illness. These are the 5 news items of last week about health technology:
  1. Programmable DNA ‘smart glue’ could speed 3D-printed organ research
  2. 'Be My Eyes' laat blinden weer zien met hulp op afstand
  3. Draagbare airbag moet senioren beschermen tijdens valpartijen
  4. A Rub-On Tattoo for Diabetics Could Mean the End of Finger Pricking
  5. Portable 'blood test in a box' to give instant diagnoses
More and more we see that technology will help in hospitals that look like products we could use every day and it is getting even more normal to do that. Design is one of the reasons why this is happening, it is even nice to wear these gadgets as for years ago nobody wanted to see you withany of the stuff from a doctor.

Technology is getting smaller and easier to be worn. Heck we even by our own trackers, gadgets and other stuff to help us on health. In my opinion this sector will grow very big. This year will get a boost in health gadgets I think. 2015 Health year. And with 3D tech we probably can save a lot of people. So keep your eyes on this one!

This weekend I bought one of my own. I bought a Fitbit Charge. I will post some reviews about it later on this week so I can let you know what I think about it, hope you will enjoy!

See you next week?
